"Okay good news gang. Doctor Fred Houlst survived the near death experience and he is now in protective custody. What i would like to know is how Gangus knew we were coming, you can take over the meeting." said Daisy the Lieutenant.

As Jay stood up with a brace for his arm as it was broken due to impact of the bomb thet they had detonated at the bunker, to cave in the terraform/ nuclear device.

"We have reason to believe that the Rogues are planning to terraform the earth with a huge world machine, the Martians and Rogues have formed an alliance to wipe out the entire human race for now we have Doctor Fred Houlst in custody and waiting for his recovery as to question him on his contribution on his research as to building the world machine. The nuclear bomb we saw at the alps was a decoy, a simulator, to the real thing" said Jay.

"But that is not what is important. What is important is that Gangus knew we were coming" he added. "So what are you saying chief? Asked Braxton. "We have a mole" said Jay. With a flip of a switch, Jay removed his cyber pistol of electronic tranquillezer darts from his holster and pointed it at Harley. 

"Give me one reason I should pull this trigger" said Jay. " The fact that I am innocent and I have nothing to loose. Said Harley indefatigably.  

Jay started to break into sweat and lowered the the gun as Harley was the freshest recruit and outsider of the team and knew all their plans.

"If she had sold us out she would've taken us all out when Gangus threatened us back at the alps. It isn't her Jay. " said Cynch who was a well built lady with an affinity to tom boy behaviour.

"Liutenant Doctor Fred Houlst is at the med bay. He is awake" said one of the officers as he rushed in the meeting room. "Okay team let us move out!" said Daisy the Head of the Night City police department.

At the med bay

"Good morning Doctor, I trust you are keeping well" said Jay to the Doctor. 

The Doctor seemed to be recovering well from the gunshot wound that Gangus gave him.

"I am okay detective" said the Doctor.

"Now you need to tell us what happened in the alps" said Jay commandingly.

"I and my team were simply working on a prototype which would terraform Mars into a habitable planet. For the sake of human kind but Gangus and his radicalized group the Rogues got to us before we could even say one last good bye to our families and kidnapped us working on the cursed machine laboring day and night.

"The machine you and your team destroyed in the alps was a decoy as the real machine and it's whereabouts are in an undisclosed location outside Night City" said the Doctor trembling in fear every time he said Gangus.

"It is of high importance Doctor Houlst that you tell us where he is keeping this so called world machine" commanded Jay.

"I would tell you that but I fear for my wife and children. They were shortly kidnapped by Gangus and his diabolical syndicate shortly after I went missing and they promised me if I told anyone the whereabouts of the cursed machinery. I would be dead!" cried the Doctor with extreme passion tears rolling down his cheeks.

Suddenly a hologram appeared in front of them. It was Gangus the leader of the Rogues and said "We have been in the shadows waiting for the time to reveal ourselves the Martians and I have a formed an alliance that will end the human race from itself through a holy cleanse be ready for this is just the beginning..." with that the hologram closed and instantly the Doctor started going into fits and seizures as his head exploded into tiny bits of brain and gore. 

"We need a medic" shouted Jay as the nurses swooped the Doctor out of the room. "I have a feeling this war has just began...." said Jay.
