CHAPTER FIVE

"Exiting Night City." Jay said over the comms as the helicopter glided itself to the mission drop off point. They had all been briefed extensively, there target, Doctor Fred Houlst a German Nuclear physicist was kidnapped by the Rogues and intel says that he had been building a Nuclear bomb to end mankind for the Martians and other ET to terraform the earth.

"Okay Gents and Ladies. We have only one shot, bring the Doctor alive! The rest of the hijackers can kiss my ass!" Said Jay. "Braxton grab the EMPs and some time bombs we are gonna need them" said Jay. "Roger that!" Said Braxton. The mission was to go rescue the Doctor and bring him to protective custody.

The helicopter hovered over the mountain alsps, the air was cold and thin. Even in this weather Night City looked like a dream. The canopies of verdue green enlightened the cybersquad and it all looked grotesque with the view from the helicopter. "Now, I want everyone to STAY SHARP!" Jay commanded. 

They were dropped a couple of miles from the bunker. The Doctor was being held in an undercover lab, heavily guarded by mercenaries from Night City. The Rogues were getting more and more funding from Rebel leaders and now it had grown into an empire that opposes the Night City jurisdiction forming alliances with the Martians.

Jay grabbed his sniper rifle and some ammo and gave it to Cynch. " Right so I am gonna go in take this sniper rifle and clear a path" said Jay to Cynch. "I hope you are a good shot" He said. " Yeah me too" said Cynch as he lay on the snow setting up the gun. 

"Killjoy and Braxton with me and don't forget the detonators" As they approached the bunker Cynch one by one executed his sniper well and expertly. As the bodies fell down from the railing one by one.

They entered the elevator and went down into the abyss. As they got out, Killjoy would attack using his Japanesse Samurai sword and use his pistol for long range killings. This was his skill, the way of the ninja. There were more and more henchmen as the levels kept on going on downwards.

Jay would use his EMP to freeze some of the weaponised robots and guns and make them completely useless. This came in handy as Braxton would lay the time bombs around the building. They finally reached the downward most level and behold the nuclear megatron bomb, as huge as a building.

"Why are you here asked?" asked Gangus the leader of the Rogue syndicate. "We are here to stop you from killing thousands of innocent lives!" Said Jay. "I am not killing anyone, I am simply liberating humans from there pestilence " he said with a loud commanding voice.

"Okay calm down Gangus" said Jay. "Where is Doctor Fred Houlst?" He asked. "Bring the Doctor" said Gangus. A henchman brought in Fred Houlst the bomb maker put him into his knees and shot him."Now nobody can disable the bomb but me!" said Gangus. Killjoy threw a knife like a dart at him piercing his hand and writhed in pain.

"Quick grab the Doctor he might still be alive" said Jay signaling Braxton. Killjoy ran and submitted Gangus giving him a knee blow into his chest. "You can not undo what cant be undone " he said while lying on the floor bleeding profusely.

Jay quickly told the rest of the team to retreat. "We are gonna detonated the bombs we came with and burry this monstrosity okay?" said Jay as a loud explosion could be heard. But they were already clear of the blast. "Everyone let us meet at the rendezvous point" said Jay.
