YOUNG AND DUMB

YOUNG AND DUMB

Do you remember your 18th birthday where you were now christened an adult depending on the legal framework of your country.

Do you remember the many mistakes you did coming out of that age transitioning from being a teenager to an adult. I do, sometimes I look back and have a laugh because life has humbled me to the point where I realize that as you get older the wiser I become.

But I still make the same mistakes to this very day. Although not as serious as my latter years. Binge drinking and coming home the next day to a very furious African parent.

Non, je ne regrette rien as the saying goes. No I do not regret anything.

As I get older I find it difficult for me to shake of these bad habits years after turning 18 as I turn 30 this year. Does that make me stop my "reckless" behaviour I don't think so.

I am human and you are too. We live and we make mistakes that is how we learn. But make responsible mistakes as I say nothing too risky and trust me you will be fine.

However, if you are able to get out of that space and become responsible you deserve a medal. I myself I am still learning every day how I can become a better me.

They say old habits die hard and from my experience they do. Don't feel discouraged when you make a mistake, they are your point of reference in life and you should learn a thing or two from them. Nothing changes if nothing changes.
