THE AMAPIANO EFFECT

THE AMAPIANO EFFECT
PART TWO

I love Amapiano so much this is my second blog about it. Something about it that moves me, motivates me and nourishes me. They say music is food for the soul and it's true!

With that being said Amapiano isn't for everyone only but a few. The chosen few. Those who dare to explore the sounds of the Southern part of Africa. Uyishisa!

This type of music gives me a sense of belonging and uplifts my spirit even when having a bad day. I am unable to shake off the sweet sound of Khanyisa and the 808's by Nandipha making it a trap Amapiano genre.

Not understanding their language is one thing but vibing to it gives me a great sense of accomplishment and unwavering love. Being Kenyan it seems as though I would have gravitated to the normal mundane music but I have a character and it is oftenly centered around Amapiano music.

I would love to go for groove someday in the future if all goes well. But sitting here listening to it in my home country is a win still. I have had the opportunity to see Focalistic president ya strata perform and I was so happy as my first major artist graced our land to sing in his native tongue.

Aside from that music has always played a big role in my life and I am more that grateful. To write about my love for it makes me even happier, spreading the word and raising awareness about it.

We can't compare sounds from here to there but we can learn a thing or two. Amapiano isn't always about the bumby beats or the groovy dance moves. To me, it's more than that it is life it is being at an elevated state of happiness and resolve. It's has become a way of life.

I don't go out clubbing mainly because I enjoy being in my own company way more but if I was to go out it will be for an amapiano event.

Nandhipha Amapiano!!!
