MY WEEKEND ROUTINE

MY WEEKEND ROUTINE

Are you addicted to your phone like me? Always checking for new notifications or new messages? Or just Doom scrolling on your phone hours on end? I spend most of my weekends indoors just on my phone. It's a bad habit that I have to break.

So what is the solution? I recommend using an app called Minimalist that let's you use only specific apps once you put it on. This can always be removed obviously but it is a great idea if you spend lots of hours on your phone.

I also recommend putting your phone in silent mode especially when you are at work or studying to help you focus
In addition, you can switch off the WiFi router of your home to avoid constantly checking your phone.

Phones have become a health hazard in this day and age. As for me I find it hard to shake off the addiction for I usually write my blog posts on the very same phone for convenience and ease. As I put on my music and vibe to it.

But it's become out of control. For example I'm not one to socialise and go out. I would rather stay in the house and preserve, I know it's not recommend but I enjoy it that way. I once made the mistake of not being aware of my surroundings in my latter years spending nights out binge drinking which was not for me by the way and it costs me my sanity.

I felt very suffocated by the people I surrounded myself with and I was not growing intellectually so I decided I will do things differently and self preserve myself. Also when I am at home during the weekends I am able to prepare for the week ahead get going with chores and generally having a relaxed space for me to wind down from the weekly hustle and bustle of the 9 to 5 job.

People are different we have extroverts, introverts like myself and ambivert. They all have different characters that give them different ways to pull energy for the coming week ahead.

Lastly, I enjoy my own company and yes sometimes I may feel lonely but that is just what it is learning to live in solitude and reverence to the Universe, also meditation has been a good habit that I picked up although not consistent it has helped me feel more calmness and grounded.

What about you? How do you wind down? And what are some of the bad habits and good habits you have had that help you feel rejuvenated for the coming week?
