EUTHANASIA IN AFRICA

Euthanasia is the use of medication that unalives  patients in order to relieve them of the said suffering. Should people with mental health problems apply for Euthanasia especially from African countries? Where the medical facilities are obsolete.

I remember there was this one psychiatrist I was seeing we had tried so many different types of medications for my auditory hallucinations and nothing seemed to be working. 

I candidly asked him if "Euthanasia" could be an option due to the surmounting pain of depression and psychosis I was going through.

He said Euthnasia is illegal in the country and he would not advocate for it. Disappointed I walked out and never talked to him again.

The amount of mental pain and anguish we people with mental illness, go through can be at most times be immeasurable, that is why there are so many attempted suicides by mentally ill people all across the globe.

There was an article sometime back about how a kenyan elderly woman had flew out to one of the European countries to underway the procedure of Euthnasia.

What if this would be the case for the mentally ill. I think that will change how we look at psychiatry forever. The amount of mental suffering we go through is unbearable and painful.

I once asked someone older their view on Euthanasia he said that all life was precious no matter the challenges. What about you? Do you think Euthanasia should be granted for the chronic mentally ill or disabled?
