CHAPTER TWO

( On early morning on the sacred mountain before the sunrise)

RAINMAKER: O thee BABA listen to my counsel!
( He pours a portion of his secret concoction to the ground and drinks it)

BABA: Who disturbs me from my SLEEP!
RAINMAKER: I come in peace my Good Fere!
(He proceeds to put a sacrifice of gold dust fetched by the river side and a calabash of traditionally brewed palm wine)
RAINMAKER: It is I the RAINMAKER ORORO!
BABA: WHAT DO YOU WANT?!
RAINMAKER: We have not had rain for this past season, out wells run deep and dry,our people are dying!
BABA: Your people have dishonoured me and are a pestilence to my eyes!
RAINMAKER: Hear my plea All fere!
BABA: The Higher Gods do not give you what you so wish as you have to pay your PENANCE!
RAINMAKER: What are we to do to make peace with the Gods 
BABA: You must sacrifice each first born son before the moon turns crimson!
RAINMAKER: How? We are at war with the Bukuse tribe. How are we to defend our people?!
BABA: FOR THIS IS MY ONLY ALIMONY!

( THE RAINMAKER leaves the sanctuary albeit disappointed)
